ArchVision Releases New RPC Creator Pro
From ArchVision’s press release:
Lexington, Kentucky, February 9, 2004—ArchVision today announced the availability of RPC Creator Pro, a powerful new tool that lets users create Rich Photorealistic Content (RPC) from photographic and video images or images created in 3D rendering applications. With Creator Pro, visualization artists can create user-friendly RPCs, eliminating the burden of managing cumbersome image sequences—such as footage shot against a chroma key background. In addition, Creator Pro users have the ability to reduce the rendering overhead of polygon-heavy geometric models by converting a series of images rendered around the object into a resource-friendly RPC.
RPC Creator Pro provides an easy-to-use interface for loading images and the relevant meta data used to create 2D, 2.5D, 3D and 3.5D RPCs. Creator Pro includes such features as an image sequence loader, DXF/OBJ icon importer, meta tag editor, and RPC preview via an integrated RPC ActiveX Viewer.
RPC has become the defacto-standard format for managing image-based content and is supported natively or via plug-in by the world’s leading 3D visualization applications including Discreet’s 3ds max, Autodesk VIZ, Autodesk ADT, Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation, Alias Maya, Newtek’s Lightwave, Maxon’s Cinema 4D, Robert McNeel & Associates AccuRender, Adobe Photoshop and others.
